Stella splendens (not sure for tune type)
This is the second tune of the first track of Er Pasker by JM Veillon. I'm not sure wether this is really a polka...

Wouldn't call it polka, nor dance tune in any modern sense.... =)
Actually it is a medieval song of which two voices have been recorded in the Spanish LLibre Vermeille de Montserrat. Text goes:
Stella splendens in monte ut solis radium
Miraculis serrato exaudi populum
Concurrunt universi gaudentes populi
Divites et egeni, grandes et parvuli

Hanter Dro
Benoît, this, again, is a Hanter Dro: best written in 3/4 (see the comments I made about: Er Pasker

)
http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/10102 )
The original medieval tune has been modified to suit the needs of this dance. The 1st down beat "B/B:A" is repeated as a down beat again, after only 3 groups of 3 beats. That is it: 3x3. Don't you join this pedestrian dance in your big-arse 4x4!
Happy New Year to you and all at thesession.
