The Dernawilt Jig
I learned this delightful tune from the clip recently posted to the discussion by Ptarmigan:
http://www.thesession.org/discussions/display/23350/comments
(The tune is the first one in a set of three)
I couldn't find the tune on session.org, (or indeed anywhere else on the Internet) so my abc transcription is based on my hearing of (and hopefully, correct interpretation of) the playing of the musicians on Ptarmigan's clip. I trust that any errors in my transcription will be forgiven, and I hope that I haven't trodden on anyone's toes by posting the tune here!
In deference to the name supplied - "the Dernawilt Jig" - I've classified it as such, although to my ear it has more the feel of a slide.

The Dernawilt Jig
We played it at a house session last night. Lovely tune. No problems.

Does anyone have any background to this tune? Maybe Ptarmigan could help me out. It would be much appreciated.
