I thought this would show all of season 4. Not just the end. I wanted from beginning to end on both season 1 with kelly and season 4 with carrie. thanks. So if any one just wants to see the end than this is for u.

Clay Aiken's Performance Alone Was Worth $$

This is a great DVD that showcases the best talent of all the seasons. However, Clay Aiken's performance of Bridge Over Troubled Water made this DVD worth every penny. I encourage all Idol lovers to buy this! It's great!

Not the best

Being a very big fan of american idol and watching the show since the first season, I was excited to see they had a video out with the
best of American Idol. Well, this was definately not the very best. The clips of the performances are short. There's more talking than anything else. Save your money and watch channel 11 American Idol Rewind.

The "extras" portion of this video would not play. It was returned for another which was also defective. The main program was OK.

Disappointing

I bought this awhile ago but only watched a little bit. Tonight I watched it in full and have to say that the worst thing about it is that it was so poorly produced. The sound doesn't track to the video properly in much of the DVD. The sound levels are also all over the place in the audition parts. A big fat ZERO to whomever was the sound editor of this DVD and the producer who didn't catch the problem before it was released.

This video has one really big redeeming quality that makes it an absolute must for American Idol fans - the entire performance of Bo Bice singing In A Dream a cappella. It was probably one of the most BRILLIANT moments the show will ever have and this is the only place to get it! Fortunately, this song does track properly. I do agree with other reviewers that there were some really stand out moments that were left out. Seriously, with the money this show has made they could afford to put together a well produced DVD for each season separately and not leave out many of the best bits.
