First Weds in the month. First pint free for musicians! Consistently high standard of musicianship, yet unthreatening to the beginner. Many normally fast tunes played slowly so everyone can keep up (at first anyway). Very welcoming atmosphere, good food.
Thanks to the eagle-eyed Veronica (q.v.) I have to admit that my grasp of the ancient Welsh counties as shakier than it should be and Howey is indeed not in Monmouthshire but in Radnorshire. Curses, I've been rumbled!
