As im new to this website, i thought i might as well contribute, by adding my local session.
The Lamb is the pub at the top of oxenhope, and as far as i know, the session has been going for several years, with a friendly group of people, who welcome new faces. it usually kicks off at about 8.30/9 and carries on until closing time. The room the sessions held in is at one end of the pub, and is quite roomy, though it does get crammed now and again. The tunes are mainly Irish, with a bit of english and scottish thrown in, and now and again the odd song and bit of old time/bluegrass gets put in the mix.
There's a wide variety of instruments, from usual guitars/violins/flutes, to harp and pipe players.
The pub itself is nice and traditional with a wide variety of beers and ales and quite decent seats! (needed when youre sitting down for a while!)
