This Session starts at 7 and ends at 11, generally the newer players come in early with some of the more experienced coming in as the night progresses.
The Weds., night session has been going on in some shape or form since the mid 80's.
Dervish played Anchorage last week and came down to the session here the night before their concert. Several of them joined in, and at the end of the night they remarked about how much they enjoyed playing with the local musicians and the resulting craic.
Just wanted to give my kudos to the session at the Middleway Cafe which I attended while on a family vacation a few weeks ago. Friendly musicians, good atmosphere, nice mix of tunes, and it was nice to see so many young people dancing and having fun. Would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a tune.

Snow City - you'll be missed....
Hopefully this one will restart somewhere else....
In the mean time try moderately paced sessions 7-9 on Mondays at Kaladi's Brayton and Wednesdays at O'Brady's Huffman...
