The session starts about 7 pm, and usually runs until sometime between 10 and 11. Most of us have been playing our instruments for two or three years, but all levels are welcome. We have been known to play the same tune many, many times in a row to accommodate someone who wants to learn it.
There is also a First Friday session that happens at Friendly House, 26th & NE Thurman, Portland. Obviously on the first friday of the month. Other than location, the details are the same.
But the house sessions on the 2nd and 4th Fridays are still going strong. It's more of an intermediate-level session now, but definitely beginner-friendly. The start time is slightly later these days, around 7:30.
