The first and third Tuesdays of the month are open sessions. On the other Tuesdays, there is either a performance or ceili. This is a new session that just started up May 2003. It's an intermediate/advanced session. But beginners are welcome to play a few tunes and bring a recorder. It's a very friendly session. It goes from 6:30 to 9:30 (sometimes 10:00). Many folks drive over an hour to get to this session so it starts and ends early.
Session moved to The Canoe Club on Main Street in Hanover, NH
The Tip Top Cafe went out of business in Nov 2003. The session is now in downtown Hanover, NH right next to Murphy's Pub. It's still on Tuesday nights, 7:30 to 10:30. This is an open session with usually a couple folks who are paid to play. So it's a good quality session. The restaurant is a bit fancy and you play on stage with mics. I don't like the stage or mics, but the people who play the music are great and welcoming.
