Scheduling

I didn't have the option to mention, but this session is ONLY held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month!!! Playing usually starts about 6:30pm.

This is a good session in general and very friendly for beginners (I'm one and have learned a lot). There are lots of good players who will be glad to play slower tunes or simpler tunes to help the newcomers feel welcome and be able to play.

Occasionally, pro's from local bands (Arcona Reel Band, Fire in the Glen...) show up, too.

Because it's in a restaurant/bar attached to a hotel, it's family friendly and kids are welcome.

Also, the food in the restaurant/pub is excellent!!

hey rzaikoski, Harrisburg is a little far away for me, but I just wanted to say I love Arcona Reel Band! Fire in the Glen are a great band, too. I'm familiar with those guys from the PA Ren. Faire, and are one of the main reasons I go every year...

Starting a little later but still going strong

This session is still going strong, although we seem to be getting a later start, these day.

Music usually starts between 7 and 7:15, these days.

A fun session

I attended as a visitor to town last night. It was fine for an intermediate-level player like me, and I had a great time. Based on a message from the restaurant manager, however, it sounded like this session may have to move. I hope one of the local musps will post any further updates here.

Cancelled!

As noted by KenC, the manager apparently doesn't want us playing there, anymore, and this session is cancelled for the foreseeable future.

We're probably moving to the Middle Ridge Tavern outside Newport, PA(north of Harrisburg)...5111 Middle Ridge Road...where the Donegal natives welcome celtic sesiun sounds.

More information will be forthcoming....

Moving (most likely) to Coakley's

It seems that this session will be moving to Coakley's Irish Pub and Restaurant in New Cumberland, PA.

I'm still finalizing the details with the manager, though....

I've just finished talking with Karen Blazina, the general manager, who is very happy to be hosting a session.

First session will be the 8th of August ... the 1st 2nd Tuesday to come along!
