Largely Irish and Scottish music played but bluegrass and sometimes even zydeco slip in.
The Papa's session ended in September, but a new session began soon afterwards at The Radius Cafe, 106 Auditorium Circle, San Antonio. The Radius Session is on Thursdays from 8:00-10:00. The new location is wonderful, the acoustics are out of this world. This is a laid back, friendly tune and song session.
The location is in the downtown area, so it is very centrally located for people that live in SA, and it's also very convenient for visitors of our this fine city.
The Radius offers excellant food, and you can rent a glass and bring your own wine, or fine beer.
This session is growing pretty rapidly, as the word is finally starting to spread.

Brew Moon Cafe Session
The Brew Moon Cafe closed. The owner of the building ripped out all the bar equipment, so no new bar will be opening in it's place.

San Antonio Session
Although the Brew Moon closed, sessions have sprung up at Papa's on Broadway, and at Pizza Italia. Same times on Thursdays still apply.

"The Session at "Papa's on Broadway" has moved to Tuesday Nights.
"Pizza Italia" is still going strong on Thursday's.
It's located near the intersection of "Thousand Oaks/Jones Maltsberger"
