Fisherman's

Thursday night session from 9.30. No formal contact as no one person responsible for organising it. But a friendly bunch, so just turn up!

A mix of Scottish and Irish tunes played by a predominantly fiddle, guitar (standard and DADDAD tunings) and bodhran orientated group, but whistles, pipes (most varieties), flute and button box (B/C) also make appearences. A few good songs sung as well. Good core musicians, but the pace is often fast, with a quieter slower tune played later on depending upon the pateince of the bar staff!!!

The web site contains information on the pub and location details but no information on the session. The pub is great and has 6 guest ales on continuous rotation having won best real ale pub in britain in the past. It is worth a visit for the beer alone, but with the music.......

Music in the Fisherman's

It might be a bit late, but.............

Tommorow (thursday 5th) in the evening, 8.30pm onwards, there will be a belated Burn's night get together in the Fisherman's Tavern in Broughty Ferry (next to Dundee), so if any of the Fife, Angus, Perth, Aberdeen or any other crew fancy a few tunes and a few pints, it would be great to sees you all........
