Don't know why this session is listed as inactive. It's in a huge, noisy brewpub in downtown Hartford. The regulars are friendly and welcoming. The night I was there, it was not a "hardcore" session. There were players at all levels and a lot of singing. Get there on time because it stops promptly at 10 pm.
I was in Hartford on business, and came out to this session. I didn't recognize a soul there, and I thought I knew every trad-o on the East coast. But they're a very friendly bunch.
The place is noisy, you have to really focus to be able to hear the other players. And the session is about 50% guitars, so that muddies things up a bit, as well. I understand this is usually a miked session. That would make it easier to hear, but maybe less inclusive. Still, the craic is great either way!
Wednesday nights at around 7:30, led by Donegal fiddler P.V. O'Donnell. Excellent food and atmosphere, and the players are very friendly as well.

I showed up this past Wednesday and the pub told me the session was canceled a few weeks ago.
