Irish Trad session in a great local pub, follow signs for the memorial ground and its nearby. Irish county flags on the ceiling. Panelled Walls, flagstone floors, excellent Guiness and a very keen and welcoming landlord, Keiran.
Sessions open to all, Irish Trad and probably some ballad singing, led by Big Wes and others. Once a month the session is postponed to make way for the European Celtic games. Check broadcasts to be sure. Look forward to seeing you. Starts 8:00 prompt til about 10:30.
Good start last week - Musicians from Finnigan's Chin, local band sat in with meself and a visiting whistling sister. (Not a nun as far as I know).
Session will be fortnightly to start with. NEXT ONE is therefore 20TH of OCTOBER 2011. All welcome, get there at 7.45 for a settling draught and a good place. Starts at 8:00 prompt.
The OP hasn't been seen at this session since last year. However, the session is still functioning.
To avoid any confusion as to whether this session is running on a given week or not, the regular attendees have decided that it will be held on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month.
