in July 2002 I visited this superb pub from 1537 in the heart of the Peak District . The session is known to having outlived many a landlord -at least 20 years.
It is an open session - when I was there there were around 10 people attending - mostly locals. It is indeed a friendly session - in a unique setting, with a relaxed pace.
This is my local session. It is always a delight to have visitors who play and add something a bit different. But warning - the pub is set at the highest point above sea level in the whole district and it is often very cool and blowy up there. Hope to see someone from here there one wednesday evening.
