Session runs the first and third Mondays from 6:30pm until 10:00pm or so. A great mix of friendly people welcome beginners as well as accomplished musicians. Mostly tunes, some fast, some slow, with a few songs here and there.
Quigley's is a great session for all levels of players... but the best thing about it is the people. Unlike many sessions that are labelled beginner friendly, it doesn't seem schooled or intentionally beginnerish in nature. You won't find pre-determined sets of tunes, each played X number of times through, for instance. The session simply flows along at a good session pace. Simply put, the folks at Quigley's are a great bunch of folks who like to hang out, play tunes, and have a good time.
it was held on the oxygen-friendly patio when we were there (summer 2004)...about ten players in a wide circle. Open and participatory. Particularly enjoyed the smile-crinkles on the corners of whistler Steve's eyes. Fun, free food, free beer in a groovy village setting

Time change
These days, most musicians show up at 7:00pm or later. We still meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays.

Somewhat defunct
I called Quigley's today; apparrently they haven't met in over a year, but they're starting a once-a-month session again. Date unknown as yet....
