Is it an end of an era? Are there any sessions to be found in Teelin anymore? It'll be sadly missed. Where will kitty Sean and Sean con Johnny go now?Does Carrick have anything to offer?

Pub sold?

Why did they sell it?

# Posted on March 26th 2006 by m

Still going

Although the pub has been sold there's still music there most saturday nights- i was playing there til half 4 in the morn the night before last.

Looks like there'll be less sessions with "famous" musicians coming up for the weekend, but tis still going.

Re Carrick,
there's occasional music inThe Bridge Bar, previously the Salmon Leap, hopefully will become a weekly fixture over the summer as thourist no.s pick up...

Pub

But do the Altanoids still own it?

# Posted on March 28th 2006 by m

Still going

amwl,

They don't. But even when they owned it they weren't able to be there very often on account of touring et c.

I think that's partly why it was sold-
the other person who owned it with them (and actually ran it day-to-day) wanted to sell up too.

Pub

Ah, right. Thanks. I think I met the daughter of the other owner, she babysat Mairéad and Dermot's little Nia. When I was there she was working the bar.

It's too bad they sold it, it was a great little pub.

Thanks for the info!
