This session will be most Wednesdays. It will start after TV sporting events, so please call the Trap and Gill to confirm if/when the session is happening.
Usual session etiquette applies: one backing instrument and/or bodhran at a time and no noodling. This will be for intermediate and advanced players, and will have some singing along with the chunes, and everybody is welcome to come and listen!
Anybody with questions can email the organiser, Alan Walsh: celtic(dot)colours(at)shaw(dot)ca
The leaders of this session are Mary B. (fiddle) and Marg R. (guitar).
It starts between 8:30 and 9pm and goes till 11-12pm. Good, friendly session. Even when the tv sporting events are on, this session starts around the same time. TVs have sound turned off and the tunes come on full force.
Due to Canucks games, the sessions will be starting later (9 or 9:30) on Wed 15th and Wed 22nd Dec 2010.
Basically, there is no music while the game is on, so check the score before you come down.
Also a reminder-- this is Irish & Cape Breton music, so if you bring a guitar, either play melody on it, or please ONE BACKING GUITAR AT A TIME. Marg is the session leader and accompanies; if you want to back a tune, please talk with her first. More than one guitar sounds like crap.
