Small, very friendly session.

Mostly English tunes, but some other material (e.g. French tunes) played as well. The tunes are all played at a very steady pace, but not so slow as to ruin the tunes.

Begins at 8:30 p.m.

By custom, this session always starts with a tuneset consisting of "Three Around Three" and "Highland Mary". Learn those two, and you'll be able to join in straightaway!

Beer quality (when I was there, anyway) - was absolutely top-notch.

Correction.

I should have said that the "traditional" opening tuneset at this session is "Highland Mary" followed by "Three Around Three"! That's the correct order of play!

This tuneset is always started EXACTLY at 8:30 p.m. You could set your watch by it!

Q. Are there any other sessions in the UK (or indeed, the world) where the starting time is so precise?

The finishing time is similarly precise - 11:00 o'clock sharp!

If you're planning to come to this session, but don't know the "opening" tunes, you'll find them here:

(A jpeg score and a midi file in each case)
