I wasn't sure of the exact address, but it is between 3rd and 4th streets on South St. It starts about 8:30 and runs til whenever.
It's a very loose session. Many times someone will play a folk or rock song. That part does not appeal to me, but the fact that the trad musicians who are regulars are very warm and welcoming.
Great session for trying out tunes you are still learning--just mention that you'd like to take this one at a slower tempo. Everyone will happily oblige.
The Blarney South sessions have moved. The sessions are now held at The Irish Times located on the n.e. corner of 2nd and Bainbridge. The sessions are still loose, but a lot of fun. It is still run by Harold and is still warm and welcoming.
