The longest running session in Colorado, insofar as I know, various incarnations of it stretching back to when this pub was The James and even before then. Sundays starting any time between 5 and 7 and running to about 9 (when they have live bands in, usually very loudly), Michael Reshetnick, Eve Reshetnick, Michael Reid, co-session leaders, along with others.

This is a very very VERY friendly, very inclusive session, beginners are welcome and they'll be more than happy to play a set or two at a speed you can manage. A nicer bunch of people you'll never find.

Just visited this session last night; seems that the start time is now 6:00 pm, but people don't start wandering in until roughly 6:15 or 6:30, or sometimes even later.

This session has now moved to seven o'clock pm, with most people trundling in a little later, but gets moving around 8 -- or so I hear, I haven't been for a while. It now goes, I think, til about 10.

Still going...

but noisy!
Been there twice in the past month or so. Good players all around, and always open for new tunes.
There's a distinctive "flip" in the player pool somewhere around 9pm. Second wave arrives, mostly younger, faster players. Very interesting mix.
Accoustics, however, hurt the overall.
And the ambient crowd noise.
I got there about 8:30 and it went to about midnight.

Good session

Really good session last week. I was impressed by the standard and staying power of the players on sunday. we started about 7.30 and finished bout 1am. Long drive back to Grand Lake after!

Just mind for the dodgy clappers!

Hope to see loadz of musicians on sunday, every sunday.

First chance to visit...

and I'll be back - it s anice location and a very friendly group of people.

The pace is pretty fast. Saw some of the same folks who play at Fado in Denver.

Go for it! (just watch out for the food...stick to the beer)

Down from Wyoming

Three of us from the Laramie, Wyoming session came down last Sunday (flute, bodhran and viola), and we all loved this session. Much faster pace than our own session, and the players stay longer (we were there until past midnight, and they were still playing when we had to leave town). The crowd was very friendly, and we'd all love to be back, but it definetely depends on the roads for us.
If someone remembers tunes that usually come up at this session, would you be willing to post some names so we can learn them? There were lots of good tunes being played that we'd never played before.

They have a CD

It's called Sunday at Coner's but I couldn't find it on CD Baby. Mike had brought some but he left earlier. Next time you guys from Laramie come down you can get the CD and learn the tunes!

Also, if someone can post some names of tunes played so we can get those from the session.org, that would be wonderful. I remember one was called the Banshee, but that's all I remember. I'm new too and had an amazing time. What nice folks and good musicians!

Cheers, Ali

December 9th?

Is the session still going on December 9th? The session up in Laramie usually closes down a couple weeks around Christmas time, and I wasn't sure if the Boulder one does as well? If it doesn't snow this weekend and the session's still on, there might be a couple of us coming back down for some tunes and good craic!
