Sessions run from 7pm to 10 pm in winter but may change to 7.30pm to 10.30 when people are aout later in Summer.
A relatively new session for this pub, very friendly and very open to beginners (they let me in!). A core group comprising a fiddle/mandolin player, guitar/banjo/harmonica player/singer, another guitar/banjo/bones player/singer and whistle player/singer keep things moving. Other semi-regular instruments include bodhran, irish flute, fiddle and northumbrian pipes.
Unfortunately this pub closed a few months ago, session therefore no longer going. The Bog in Parnell (Auckland City) is still alive and well, with trad session on Sundays at 7pm.

Pub closed
