I attended this session last Sunday 16th of Feb 2003.
It was great, very friendly with no ego's to be placated with a nice atmosphere to the club.
There were 20 plus musicians and a few songs were well sung between sets throughout the night.
This gets my vote as the best Irish session I've been to in a long while.
All the best PP
To the "Sweet Green Tavern" Middle sized room there were about 15 musicians there last weekend with a good mix of instruments. About 7 real ales were on sale at the bar, including one for a pound a pint! seems to be starting around 8 ish. need to get there early for a seat. http://www.sweetgreentavern.com/
Important note about the schedule
Please note. This session is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month not every Sunday.
The session is run by the Bolton Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltiori Eireann.
Musician's welcome (of course).

it has now moved to a pub around the corner (cannot remember the name of it) because of a country and western meeting in the room above.
