The pub Connemara is part of the old Gasthaus 'Weisses Rössl". The publican Hans Mohr is a well-known box player, former member of the band 'Flap' and a real sessioneer.
Also they have many nice gigs, a lot in the irish/celtic/folk genre.
I can't praise Hans' pub highly enough.
It's not an Irish theme pub, but a great local pub in a small town run by a man who knows and loves his music, his beer, food and his whisky.
Something along the lines of the Taybank Hotel in Dunkeld, Scotland, as envisaged by Dougie MacLean - a welcoming place with instruments where musicians could meet and play just about any time.
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere - worth a detour if you're anywhere between Mainz and Saarbrucken
