The Pond

I have to admit I haven't actually sat in at this session yet. I've been "testing the waters" by having a listen.

What I've heard sounds good although I didn't recognise a lot of the tunes. I wonder if a lot of the tunes played are English or Scottish.

It can get pretty busy, noisy and full at this session so be prepared to jostle.

One of the best things about The Pond as a venue is the Thai restaurant upstairs. You can have a guinness with your noodles while you listen to jigs and reels.

Nice pub, expensive guinness (£3.20) great players, a fantastic sound. musically fault-less. Most certainly worth a look in if your down that way. Almost, if not all irish tunes and song. I had a great night with great musicians. GET YOURSELF DOWN THERE! :)
