This friendly session in a pleasant and welcoming, rural, award winning "real ale" pub on the Shropshire/Wales border has been running for about six years (at time of posting), with the usual fluctuations in attendance and musical standards over time. Generally it's pretty good and a fun night out, whether you play or just listen. New faces are always welcome, especially if they bring their instruments.
The session is predominantly instrumental, though the occasional song may be heard/offered! Music played is mostly Irish, but by no means exclusively so - tunes from Wales, Britanny, England, France, and Scotland are not unusual, and just about anything goes. We usually get going at about 9p.m. Come and join in!
Faces come and go over the years, but many of the original crew still attend regularly. Has perhaps been a bit quieter iin recent times, but still some very good nights interspersed with thinner ones. Come and beef it up!
