This is the first session of many we hope.
The pub is a small friendly one with free beer for the musicians and welcomes any level of player. the session kicks off at 8pm on Thursday 29th Jan. Hopefully see you there.
Pity this clashes with the regular Thursday night session at The Blythe Hill Tavern in Catford, otherwise I'd definitely get along for the crack. However, best of luck to you and all who sail in the Good Ship Bickleigh! Give 'er timber!
As a matter of interest, Tony, what players have you got there?
And, echoing Aidan's sentiments, good luck with it - good to see more S.London sessions. If the Blythe ever folds (not likely in the near future) we'll know where to come!
The first session went quite well. We had Kevin Keane on Git, Ben on Fiddle and big whistle, Alan on bod, Susuki (Argentinian Lady playing folk tunes and songs and a couple of Polish lads playing fiddle and git. Then myself playing sore throat and trapped wind so it was a varied lineup which I reckon will change. The beer flowed nicely, lets see what the next ones like which is on Thurs 12th Feb 8pm and its looking like a fortnightly job. Good luck at the Blythe!
