If you find yourself in central Illinois on a Monday night, you could do much worst than stopping by for a drink and tune. The music starts at ~7:30 and will last as long as the players have the wind.
This weekly session has a good mix of skill levels, is very welcoming and encouraging to beginners, and doesn't let the shared reverence for the music get in the way of having a good time out with friends.
