A small local pub in the backwater of West London. Led by Barbara Hackett (accordion) and Mick Murphy (banjo), the session attracts mostly local musicians. However, it has a warm atmosphere and visiting musicians of all abilities are always welcome.
The new manager of the pub has decided to hold Poker Evenings (!) every other Thursday night. So as from now this session will be every two weeks. Next session therefore being Thursday 19th 2005.
This may be too confusing but we'll see how it goes!

Just a refresh really to remind people that this session still operates weekly and all are welcome. This must be coming up to being one of the longest continuous running sessions in London by now.
We've been a little thin on the ground since Christmas so it anyone feels like coming out for a few toons that would be great! Regular players are Mick on tenor banjo, Simon on whistle, Ellie on fiddle, self on concertina/guitar. Hope to see some of you (again or for the first time).
Not quite sure what happened here because the pub posted the restart of this session yesterday and when I looked today it had disappeared. Maybe Jeremy realised it was a duplication.
Anyway, this old session is starting up again this Thursday, 17th September, 9-11.30. Instruments will be banjo, accordeon and guitar/concertina. Songs and tunes. All welcome as before! The pub seems keen to get the craic going here again so let's hope it does.
At the moment they are saying monthly but I'll keep events posted here.

Don't forget there are two Captain Morgan pubs - Brentwood and Greeford - both with sessions on Thursdays. And both very much thriving, as ever.
