New venue for previous Fleetwood session established 2003

Starts promptly between 8 and 8.30pm. Not suitable for beginners but small and friendly we hope. We tend to the "mature" age group. Mixed tune and song session but usually more tunes. We play more jigs, hornpipes, airs etc rather than reel after reel. Not strictly but mostly Irish. Moved from the North Euston Fleetwood to The Old Town Hall from 15/11/09 as busier place with more supportive management and more convenient for people travelling from further afield.

Progress report

The general feedback on the new venue is positive. Good acoustics and better atmosphere and enthusiastic if small audience. Already we have had one new player and the return of a "lapsed" one. Comhaltas Preston have provided a lnk to this site so we may get more players from there.

Also so far we have tended not to meet on Bank Holiday weekends but this may change if we have more players by Easter.

Moving of session back to Fleetwood -The Mount Hotel Esplanade

Due to problems with interference from the juke box and vice versa, session moved as above from June 2010. Details otherwise same.
