Very friendly bunch of around-the-table musicians. Welcoming to the newcomer. Not such a hardcore "see-how-fast-I-am" kind of seisiun. More relaxed. It is, after all, Sunday!
I would add that this session is anchored by the Gas Men, a local group of Irishmen who play in the Bay area...many grew up playing in sessions with Paddy and Johnny Cronin so their style is a big influence on the anchors. This session is great because it often draws really good musicians from the city and the East Bay - so there are often interesting new people there.
