The session attracts intermediate level players, but beginners are always welcome!
The session is held from 8pm to 10pm. 1st and 3rd Thursdays are "tunes" only sessions. 2nd & 4th Thursdays are tunes and songs. 1st Thursday is a regular session, all other days are done "round robin."

This was the first session I ever attended and after visiting several others across the tristate area this is the best one I could find. There are usually anywhere from 10 to 20 people playing all kinds of trad instruments. The session is fully acoustic and focuses more on trad dance tunes than songs.
