The Summerfield

New session starting here every Thursday from 8.30pm onwards. Mostly Irish tunes and songs.

ALL WELCOME!!!

The Summerfield is a lovely pub located just off the south-circular (A205). It is 5 mins walk from Lee overground rail station (trains run between Charing Cross and Dartford via London Bridge and Sidcup). It is also served by the 261 bus (Bromley - Lewsham) and the 202 bus stops very close by as well. Your first drink will be on the house and there should be some hot food half way through if the pool team are playing at home. 2 guest ales normally on as well as the usual beers. Large open pub with friendly locals and good acoustics.

Do come and join us for a tune or a song!

The French One

She was at the Blythe as she was not up to playing with two of the most powerful fiddlers in South East London (S & R).

1st night

Last night went brilliantly, we had x3 fiddles, x1 guitar and a box. The crowd was small but VERY appreciative. This really is a cracking pub with superb acoustics, so please do come check it out if you're free! Also, I think they are going to do us some food regardless of the pool team playing or not. Hope to see you soon :)

Still going well...

6 players down last night including a very good trumpet player (didn't join in on tunes but added a lot to the songs). Friendly atmosphere and a crowd starting to build up for it. come and have some fun!

Summerfields

Very comfortable pub and superb musicianship - and nice to see the old red accordion was back in action, what a lovely mellow sound...

Summer Hols

Due to every man & his dog being away in the middle of August, there will be no session at the summerfield on the 13th or 20th of this month. Session will resume on the 27th August. See you then!

FINISHED

Well, we gave it a good go but sadly, they've decided they don't want a session anymore. shame, don't worry though, we'll get another going very soon.

Cheers,
Dan
