Very friendly group of about 5 to 10 players, sometimes 15 or more. The tunes can have quite a clip at times, but the players will play more slowly when beginners join in. A good atmosphere with good service. A growing crowd, and some dedicated listeners. In my experience the tunes are mostly Irish, some Scot, and Welsh. Typical instruments are button accordion, key accordion, fiddle, flute, whistle, mandolin, guitar, bohdran, banjo.
It's probably a worm hole to your session or something to do with knowing your not in Kansas anymore...
When I've been in USA towns and asked for a map, the natives have always looked confused and said, 'If you know the address, why do you need a map?' This is what happens when you build cities on a grid pattern. Here in South London, you definitley need a map!
The map is definitely wrong...not sure why it's goign to NYC. Ray, the owner, does have a pub in New York...maybe Google Maps is pulling from that somehow? Regardless...this session is most definitely in Kansas City not NYC.
Well, I was able to get the map to show Kansas City...but you're on your own after that - the map refuses to pick up the Gaf's actual street address. Oh well...
Session is from 3-6 on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.

Map of KC MO Session
Good job with the map. At least it's in the right geographical region.
