The inaugural session was on Sept 3rd. The pub is brand new and completely on board with hosting the session, with some nice perks for the musicians.
2-3 session hosts will be scheduled each week, but the session is open to all. The first hour, 4-5 pm will tend toward a more moderate pace to encourage newer players, and then the rest of the session (until 7 or 8 pm) will move at a more brisk pace for the rest of the evening.
Still brand new but the goal is to be very friendly and welcoming to locals and visitors.
Noisy pub. The session is dominated by intermediate players. Some attitude was encountered - but people are by and large friendly and welcoming. The TV is on. Lots of bodhrans and guitars. Too large and spread out to be intimate and warm. But on a Sunday afternoon... sure.

Same pub in Long Beach
The Auld Dubliner in Tucson appears to be owned by the same folks (smae web site) in Long Beach where there is a Sunday session as well-4 to 8 pm.
At least now there is a second reason to go to Tucson other than the "dreaded" work.
