Beginner friendly, venue is kid friendly, not the best atmosphere for a session or acoustics, but good beer & pizza. Overall, a nice mid-week session. Starts at 6 and ends at 8 or 8:30 when the belly dancing entourage arrives.
This is a session that could well be frustrating for an experienced, accomplished player. The tunes are the old warhorses, played slowly, several people read from the music, guitar and bodhran, etc. A session where a beginner would feel very comfortable.
This had turned into a nice session lately - good players were showing up regularly, and the owner was giving us pizza every week. Unfortunately he's sold his business and will be closing at the end of January - and unfortunately we'll be competing with several other music groups looking for new homes...

The session's been moved to Thursday and will go a little later now (there's no belly dancing entourage on Thursdays)
