After noticing fiddlemouse recently submitted another of this harper's albums, I was reminded of this one which I've had for about 20 years. Fiddlemouse's comments apply to this one as well. Especially that Patrick Ball keeps from becoming "cloyingly sweet". He brings out the wonder and beauty in the OCarolan melodies while remaining elegant and impersonal. Very mature playing. Makes me think a bit of the style of the great lutenist Walter Gerwig.
Nice album of O'Carolan Tunes
