A lovely recording from Robin Bullock (6- and 12-string guitars, cittern, and piano), Ken Kolodner (hammer dulcimer), and Laura Risk (fiddle and viola). Released on the Dorian label in 1998 and available through the website www.dorian.com. Most of the tunes on this CD are traditional Irish. There are also some original compositions as well as a handful of Scottish tunes, one French tune, one Finnish tune, and one Cape Breton tune. All three artists on this CD are phenomenol musicians, and together as a group, are even better. If you like this CD, also look for music from Helicon (the former group of Robin and Ken), or their solo releases. Just really lovely music.
