Another of that growing phenomenon, the non-Ireland based band with a real grá for the music. TPB are based in Lousiville, Kentucky and some of the instrumentation reflects their base. In particular the mandolin is used from time to time in a way which has an old-timey/bluegrass feel. Hammered dulcimer is high in the mix, which lends some of the tracks a feel that is quite unusual. While some of the songs are tasteful and listenable (notably the title track and the excellent "comic" Jackson And Jane), I have to admit that I didn't get more than a few seconds into "Star" and "Danny Boy" before reaching for the skip button. The band's website is http://www.tenpennybit.com
