there is a fiddle book that goes with this cd .does anyone have it? is it any good? does anyone know any other good books that teach fiddle?

Matt's book is great ... I don't play fiddle, but even so learnt a lot from reading it. Newly-released and well worth a look-see is Kathleen Nesbitt's tutor, with accompanying CD. Here's a link to my recent review ...

Nice CD. Tunes arn't blindingly fast like some bands tend to play them. Very easy listening.

That said, I still have to upgrade from the cassettes to the CDs... One at a time, including the first of three, his 'demonstration' recording... Our cassettes are showing their wear...
