.... the tune posted at that location isn't Niel Gow's Lament for Donald, but rather Nathaniel Gow's Lament for the Death of his Brother, which is an adaptation of the Irish jig, the Gallowglass. As an aside, there's a tune called Lord John Scott's March which is itself an adaptation of Nathaniel Gow's lament. And Niel Gow Jnr (son of Nathaniel), who died young, and whose tunes were published posthumously by Nat, wrote a tune called Lord John Scott's Strathspey.
