I feel truly honoured to be able to post this. Surely this is the best live recording of Irish traditional music in existence. Recorded on the final night of "The Seán Ó Riada Retrospective". Lunny is joined by Arty McGlynn (guitar), Nollaig Ní Chathsaigh (fiddle), Cormac Breathnach (flute), Manus Lunny (bouzouki), Seán Óg Potts (uilleann pipes), Damien Quinn (bodhrán) and Steve White (congas and percussion).
The track listing on the liner notes reverses tracks 2 and 3 but has been corrected for this post.
One of the most interesting tracks for me is the set of polkas on track 2, posted in the tunes section of this site by Jeremy. The first tune of the 2, "Denis Doody's" is backed in such a strong cross-rhythm that it is possible to hear the tune in 2 different ways depending on your mood. I'd love to hear whether other people have noticed this. See the tunes comments section for more details + ABC.

All time fave
Thanks for posting this one. It's one of my all-time favourite recordings.
It's a shame it isn't longer but they sure squeeze in some fantastic music into the allotted time.
The fact that it's live gives it that extra edge.
Fantastic!
