This 1990 effort from the Waterboys continues with the direction they started heading on their previous album, "Fisherman's Blues".
The result is a odd fusion of rock, pop, blues, trad, and other genres (even a smattering of dixieland). I happen to think it's pretty brilliant. Your mileage may vary.
Note that track 9 isn't really a "set" of two songs. "Frank Roche's" (aka Roche's Favourite) is actually incorporated into "Further Up, Further In" as part of the chorus/refrain.
