Mist & Stone-celtic tunes from Isle of man, Galicia, Shetland Isles and more

This is a collection of tunes performed on hammered dulcimer and backed by some fine Celtic musicains who weren't as well known at the time but are now , names quite familiar to everyone in the Celtic scene in USA today. This album from 1990 includes Robin Bullock on guitar, cittern, violin, mandolin, Sue Richards on Celtic harp and with other well konwn Washington D.C. area musicians on viola da gamba, bodhran, concertina,, pennywhistle. This CD also has a matched folio. That's a music tune book with note-for note- transcriptions of all the music as heard on the CD with chords and commentaries and is published by Mel Bay. It was an INDIE finalist for "Best Celtic Album of the Year (BILLBOARD) .The combination of tunes from many different Celtic lands makes it worth a listen - especially The Galican Waltz, Maid at the Spinning Wheel and Ballykeal jig, and from the Isle of Man- Jezebel Carol and Avenging and Bright. Also check out tune:Knocknagow Jig and robin bullock's fiddle playing on Captain O'Kane by Turlough O'Carolan.
