Lauren's second album. Playing with her are fellow MacCollective musicians, Barry Reid (guitar), and Mhairi Hall (piano). A brilliant collection of tunes, some taken from the
Highland Collections, issued by the Highland Music Trust, some from her own pen. From the liner notes, "Delving into old manuscripts can be fascinating, inspiring, and emotive."
Guest musicians on a couple of tracks are Su-a Lee (cello),
Donald Shaw (harmonium, accordian), and Chris Stout (viola).
Truly a beautiful cd to listen to.
