Keil Road
This is Donald Black’s third CD, and is a departure from previous recordings in that it is mainly played on 10-hole diatonic rather than his customary tremolo. It is also much slower paced being an album of slow, reflective, airs, mostly drawn from the West of Scotland Gaelic genre. Each track is backed by fine Scottish guest musicians. The title track is Donald’s own composition and like most of the others has a haunting melodic quality.
