A fine mixture of traditional tunes played by Adam Shapiro on Fiddle, Dave Shapiro on Guitar and Whistle, Mark Farelly on Uillean Pipes, Kevin Griffin on Banjo, Simon O' Reilly on Electric Guitar and Blarney O' Shamrock on Bodhrán.
There is a story about the Banshee singing an old Air called "Paddy's Rambles through the Park". Unfortunately there are no more sleeve notes.
Leave the CD in the CD- Payer for a while when finished, there is an extra track No. 13 called Tommy Coen's Reel.
Recorded in 1997.
Thanks charliechamo for these information. I only read the musicians are mainly from around Doolin and Clare, but didn't know the Shapiro brothers are from South Africa. Now the title of the album makes sense to me.

Artists
Actually this CD should be listed under Adam & Dave Shapiro instead of "various artists", the other musicians being more guests...
They're two brothers from South Africa (which explain the album's name!)... Adam is living and playing around Doolin...
whatever... good album!
