A collection of airs played on the uilleann pipes

This 1999 release appears to be aimed primarily at the tourist market. It contains 11 airs, and nary a jig, reel, hornpipe, slide, polka or mazurka.

Mick O'Brien's piping and low whistle playing are, as always, thoughtful and well-executed, but the entire collection is sadly awash with overwrought production and inappropriate accompaniment. The adjective "cheesy" has been used to describe this album elsewhere, and one well-regarded Dublin musician has gone so far as to make the claim that "I had an elevator installed in my terraced 2up 2down especially to listen to that CD."

On the other hand, it has also been said that it's a great CD to learn these airs from.
