Cuts

The highlight of this recording for me is Jennifer MacDonald's Waltz, an air by Glenn Graham. THere are also some great jigs, strathspey and reels such as The Burning House by Brenda Stubbert as well as plenty by Andrea herself.
The accompaniment is typical Cape Breton with the rock steady Troy MacGillivray on piano.
"Cuts" is Andrea Beaton's nickname. A cut is also the Cape Breton equivalent of a treble or birl.
