"The Legendary Jimmy Shand"

EMI Traditions

The man is such a legend the title has been used at least twice for two different compilations of his music...

I've always loved his music, the dance in it, and in my travels I've never found a any negatives spoken I can recal, but I do remember all those who sang his praises. He was held in high regard with all the Ulster musicians I ever had the pleasure of sharing time with, mostly Catholics, but Protestants too...and several gave Jimmy Shand as a source for some of the tunes they played and treasured... Yeah, he was definitely a musical legend...
