I picked this CD up at Golden Discs in Belfast a while ago. I like to pop into the few remaining independant music shops when I get a trip home, as you can often get hold of some local recordings, such as this one.
Musicians are Olcan Masterson, Alan Masterson, Mick McGahon, Brendan Malone and Nora Campbell.
The tunes are well executed, although some of the bodhran playing is woeful - reminds me of some sessions I've been to.
The songs are not worth listening to at all.
First time I've come across Arthur Darley's Jig listed as Doherty's (I guess from the playing of John Doherty who recorded a great version of this tune)
I'd an email from one of the musicians on this CD announcing that I'd mis-spelled his name. Musicians are Olcan Masterson, Alan Masterton, Mick McGahon, Brendan Malone and Nora Campbell. Apologies for the error.
